Chilean Wine: Rediscovering Chardonnay
Please, don’t stop reading just because I used the “C” word. I myself stopped being a fan as my tastes developed and I realized how awful the stuff was. But Chilean wine is completely different. Even after the traditional oak-ing, Chilean Chardonnay is exquisite - so fruity, so full, a tinge of sweetness. Anything but the familiar buttery, oaky, thin-flavored wine we have come to know in the States. If you ever find yourself with a bottle of Chilean Chardonnay in hand, I highly recommend you try a glass.
